Belo Horizonte December 4, 2005

Posted by ditta in Uncategorized.

So this morning woke up at 10AM and after a wonderful breakfast with Fernanda a former University classmate of Kelly from the Education Studies and Kelly, who obviously studied here, we went to (re)-discover the city.

Belo Horizonte

.. the first planned city in Brazil.. You can see it on the straight street architecture reminding NY.. First we went to a quarter called Pampulha, which enjoys a lovely view over the lagoa. There is a marvellous church full of modern azuleijos, as you can see below:

Igreja Francisco de AssissiKelly at the church

Lagoa with the stade in the background

Then, we continued through out the town to the Central Market, where you can find really everything – from wonderful fruits to life animals and much more.. We had some snacks there – humus, taboulet, etc.. at a local Palestinian shop..

Kelly and Fernanda at the MarketAbacaxi - delicious pinapple - different from ananas..

other fruits..Local market pub

… potom sme sa isli prejst do
Market of Animals..Parque da cidade

miestneho parku.. – a local city park – you can see I am tired as mixing all the languages..

ok so at least a few more from the city of a ´beautiful horizont´ – which turned out to be really true 😉
